Curled

like two spoons

sleeping-

a dark butterfly wakes.

It flutters

in the warm clasp

of hand and breast.

The divine unconscious soul-

this secret Mother-

this other self 

that cannot rest …

On the other side of the world

Dan is waking.

Gently,

softly,

a butterfly hovers

above his head.
