The artist has spent many hours in the African bush photographing and observing the wildlife. The artist was in the Etosha Game Reserve in Namibia, Africa, where vast plains stretch out across the horizon, interspersed with the odd tree or animal. The artist wanted to capture the African vibrancy using the lime green and warm red. The symbols in the background are African in origin and reflect positive messages such as a good marriage, protection, the importance of working together, hope, friendship etc. It is the artist's desire to imbue the hanging environment with these messages of positivity.
