This painting was painted for the AllWomxnMatter exhibition. It relates to the pain that women suffer during the many types of abuse. Physical, emotional, psychological, economic and sexual abuse. My subject matter presents a calm, serene face (shown to society) but the broken heart shows her inner turmoil... The bloody tears that run down her face are what society doesn't "see".
